What is Induction Annealing?
Induction annealing refers to a method employed to soften the necks of cases without direct electrical contact. It involves placing the cases within a magnetic field, which generates eddy currents within the brass material. The intensity of the magnetic field and the resistivity of the brass determine the magnitude of these eddy currents, consequently influencing the heating effect. Unlike conventional heating methods, there is no distinct heating element; instead, the case itself is heated. The magnetic field is precisely focused to optimize the generation of eddy currents and subsequent heating, primarily targeting specific regions such as the neck and shoulder of the case.
